She was predeceased by: her parents, C. A. Odom and Jewel Sutton Odom; and her sister Barbara Vick. She is survived by: her children, Belinda Alligood (Marvin) of Washington, Jeanette Sutton (Mac) of Winston-Salem and Steve Stroud (Gail) of Goldsboro. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.
