He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Kathryn Ann Denise. He is survived by: his wife Sula Newton Ridings; his sister Lula Pullen of McEwen, TN; his nephew Eric Pullen (Chrissie) of McEwen, TN; his brother-in-law Eugene Keen; and also, Erica Pullen and Megan Birt.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 600 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
