It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Bertlshofer (Goldsboro, North Carolina), born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on April 3, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul Bertlshofer and Charlotte Squire Bertlshofer. He is survived by: his wife Mary Davis Lane Bertlshofer; his children, Mary Elizabeth Bertlshofer of Arizona and John Allen Bertlshofer (Jennifer) of Arizona; his stepdaughter Phyllis Lane of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Amber Lynn, Taylin and Hagan; his stepgranddaughters, Jessica and Mary Jane; and his sister Elizabeth B. Swanson (Allen) of Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in John's memory to Pine Forest United Methodist Church, 867 Hwy. 581 South, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
