It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Powell Smith (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on February 11, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Grace Meekins Powell and William Kirksey Powell; her spouse Norborne Gee "Boye" Smith Jr.; her children, Perrye Smith of Goldsboro and Gee Smith of Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Westley Dean of Goldsboro, Tripp Dail of Goldsboro, Lindley Kathleen Smith of Austin, Carter Smith of Philadelphia and Gee Smith IV of Philadelphia; and her great grandchildren, Ella and Kaley Dean of Goldsboro.

Given the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a private service for family members.
