She is survived by: her son Matthew Jackson; her daughter-in-law Caroline Jackson of New Bern; her grandchildren, Holland Jackson and Reade Jackson; her siblings, Janet Hamer Stein of Laurens, SC and Daniel Curtis Hamer III of Revere, MA; her uncle J. P. Smith, Jr. of Goldsboro; her aunt Shirley Graham of Goldsboro; and her cousin Jim Whitley of Goldsboro.
