Linwood Earl left this world on June 9, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hines and Beatrice Creel Hines; his wife Sherby Jean Hines; and his son David Hines. He is survived by: his children, Wayne S. Benton (Cyndy) of Snow Hill and Vicky Benton Lancaster (Eric) of Pikeville; his grandchildren, Ali Lancaster Legg (Jordan), Morgan Lancaster, Kristen Hines, McKayla Benton Reed (Trent), Dylan Benton, Starr Benton and Macy Lancaster; and his great grandchildren, Caiden Waddell, Tucker Lancaster and River Legg.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Seymour Funeral Home (1300 Wayne Memorial Dr, Goldsboro, NC 27534). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Pikeville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Linwood's honor to, Island Christian Fellowship, 315 Holiday Lane, Hertford, NC 27944.
