He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Tyndall and Addie Sills Tyndall; and his siblings, Paul Tyndall, Anna McKown and Dorothy McCarter.

He is survived by: his son Dwight A. Tyndall (Kathy) of Pikeville; his sister Ollie White of Mt. Olive; his grandchildren, Jessica Tyndall and Jamye Murphrey (Thomas); and his great grandchildren, Kayleigh Tyndall, Kora Tyndall and Addison Murphrey.
