Lucy Vernell Grantham Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Vernell Grantham of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernie Talton Thornton and Lou Britt Thornton; her husband James Edgar Grantham; and her siblings, Elma Thornton Smith, Alma Thornton, Floyd, John and Earl Thornton.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Grantham (Carolyn Calafiore) of Grantham and Sandra Roberts (Lou) of Winterville; her brother Ernie Thornton (Tinkum) of LaGrange; her grandchildren, Claire Grantham and Brandy Grantham Jinnette (Brian); and her great grandchildren, Avery, Ryan and Jacob.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside service will be held for family and very close friends Monday, January 18, 2021 at 2 p. m. at Falling Creek United Methodist Church in Grantham.
