She was predeceased by: her husband Leamon Hamm; and her siblings, Robert "Bob" Yelverton, Lloyd Yelverton, Jr., Ray Yelverton, Edna Heath and Sarah Sauls.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Hamm of Goldsboro, Annette Gurley (Gerald) of LaGrange and Debbie Witherington (Linwood) of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Michael Gurley (Beth), Leslee Lane, Michelle Newby, Mitzi Witherington and Hollie Strohkorb (Ron); her great grandchildren, Travis Gurley (Talbot), Miranda Gurley, Madison Newby, Ashlee Scott Newby, Cameron Newby, Payton Lane, Hannah Strohkorb and Emily Strohkorb; her niece Brenda Witherington of Goldsboro; her stepchildren, Morris Batten (Margie) of Oxford, Roy Batten (Cathy) of Goldsboro, Edna Whaley (Ken) of Goldsboro, Myrtle Mumford (Francis) of Lucama, Mary Pate (Junior) of Pikeville and Larue Batten of Virginia; her sister-in-law Clara Yelverton of Princeton; and also Lee Hamm of Goldsboro.
