He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marvin Louis Baker and Joyce Childress Baker; his daughter Melody Joyann Smiling (Dean); his grandchildren, Kian Smiling and River Smiling; his sister Karen Baker; and his grandson Joah Smiling.
