He is survived by: his wife Barbara Reid Strickland of Goldsboro, NC; his sons, Tavoris Vaughn of Washington, DC, Micheal Strickland, Jr. (Carla) of Washington, DC, Julio Guzman and Montrello Reid of Goldsboro, NC; his sisters, Marilyn Strickland of East Orange, NJ and Avalon Strickland of Irvington, NJ; his mother-in-law Dorothy Reid of Goldsboro, NC; his sisters-in-law, Angeala Woody and Patricia Reid of Goldsboro, NC; his aunts, Jane Gavin of New Bern, NC and Blondie Robbins (Linwood) of Goldsboro, NC; and his uncle Melvin Barnes (Barbara) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
