He is survived by: his wife Caroline Ellis; his children, Beth Harvin (Glenn Harvin) of Greenville and Michael Ellis, Jr. (Mary Ellis) of Goldsboro; and his siblings, Mary Ellen Ellis of Burlington and Ken Ellis of Fremont.
