He is survived by : his daughter Reesa Smith of Arizona; and his grandsons, Joel Loewenthal (Sarah) of Arizona, Mark Loewenthal (Melissa) of Arizona, Josh Smith of Goldsboro and Troy Smith (Abby) of Morehead City. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
