She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Raeford "Ray" Turnage of Goldsboro, Norwood Bruce Turnage of Goldsboro, Joyce Turnage Brock (Mangrum) of Grantham and Paulette Turnage of Morganton, NC; her former husbands, Claude Benjamin "C. B." and Joe Peacock; her son Dennis D. Turnage; and her siblings, Raeford Gurley, Leon Gurley, Milton Gurley, Jessie "Toby" Gurley and Lola Mae Singleton. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
