It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel Merritt Williamson (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on September 27, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herndon L. Merritt and Katie Merritt; and her siblings, T. C. Merritt, Dewey Merritt and Rebecca M. Porter.
She is survived by: her husband Wiley L. Williamson; her children, Wanda Williamson Walston (Donnie) of Fremont and Anderson Wiley "Andy" Williamson (Rebecca) of Washington; her grandchildren, Britany Norman and Kayla Jordan; and her brothers, Edwin T. Taylor Merritt of Wallace, Herndon L. Merritt, Jr. of Currie, Billy Ray Merritt of Reidsville and Alton G. Merritt of Carlsbad, CA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in her memory to the American Heart Association, 3219 Landmark Street, Greenville, NC 27834.
