He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Edward Earl Bass, Jr. (Christa) of Kenansville; his aunt Barbara Hughey of Goldsboro; his niece Ashley Bass; his nephew Matthew Bass (Shey); his great-nieces, Layla, Aspyn, Austyn and Talen; and his close friend Wanda Valdez Cruz.
