He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Taylor and Virtie Taylor; and his sister Hazel Young. He is survived by: his significant other Linda Burtchell; his children, Ann Taylor (Lester Henson) of Manson, Norma Jean Taylor of Durham, Jesse Taylor, Kayla Sieprawski of Goldsboro and Linda Taylor of Goldsboro; his grandchildren, Nathan, Kaiden, Joseph, Walter Allen, David Allen (Jennifer), Jimmy Allen (Jacole), Leslie Ruffule (Albert) and Lorrie Roberts; his great grandchildren, Carissa Gilbert (Justin), Mykayla Mathis (James), Nico Ruffule, Gino Ruffule, Leah Allen, Cameron Allen, Cody Allen and Cheyanne Allen; his great great grandchildren, Logan, Amber Gilbert, Jacob and Jack Mathis; and his sister Nannie Ruth Potter.
