She was predeceased by: her parents, Luby Forehand and Athelene Blow Forehand. She is survived by: her husband Charles Irvin Pope; her children, Patsy Pope Mozingo and Gaylon Pope; and her grandsons, Brandon Massey (Crystal) and Jonathan Holland (Bethany Whaley). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in her memory to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
