She was predeceased by: her son Donnie Powell; her grandson Bailey Lynch; and her brother James Thornton. She is survived by: her children, Larry Powell, Bonnie Powell, Sabrina Mitchell (Andy), Mike Powell, Jay Powell (Kim), Beverly Bragg and Kimberly Powell; her brothers, Nelson Thornton (Reba) and George Thornton; and her sister-in-law Georgia Thornton. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
