It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Riley Strickland (Goldsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bennett Riley and Mary Riley; her husband T. J. Strickland; and her siblings, Preston Riley, Irvin Riley, Bennett Riley, Louis Riley and Lora Rigsbee.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Rollins (Jimmy), Donna Strickland, Cathy Rhodes (Wayne) and Dr. Vicky Daly (John); her grandchildren, Amber Tharpe, Tracey Whitfield, Jamie McArdle (Chris), Shannon Rhodes (Dee Joyner), Jason Rhodes (Denise), Joshua Rhodes (Angela), Aidan Daly, Stephanie Daly and Johnny Daly (Ashley); and her friend Elouise Burke. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
