It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Troy Wendell Pate Jr. of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Eva Sugg Pate; and his sisters, Peggy Pate Chappell and Shirley Pate Narron. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Casey Pate; his children, Troy W. Pate, III (Diane Pate) and Lynne Pate Dawkins (Garrett Dawkins); his grandchildren, Emily Dawkins (Alex Fleming), Troy W. Pate IV, Mary Carmen Dawkins, Allison Pate and Sarah Dawkins; his stepgrandson Justin Anderson (Carol Ann); and his stepgreat-granddaughter Blair Anderson.
A memorial service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1101 E Ash St, Goldsboro, NC 27530). Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
