He was predeceased by: his son Stephen McGee; and his siblings, Harold McGee, Billy Thomas McGee, Elizabeth Currin, Allie Marie Harp and Lou Ellen Oakley.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Spencer (Michael) of Cary and Darren McGee (Theresa) of Goldsboro; his sisters, Marlene Ayers of Stokesdale and Sarah Shropshire of Oxford; and his grandchildren, Nicholas McGee, Ashton McGee, Morgan Spencer and Marley Spencer.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
