It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Johnson of Goldsboro, North Carolina, who passed away on September 9, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Archie and Mary Armstrong Johnson; his daughter Sonya Johnson; and his siblings, James Henry Johnson, Angus Johnson, Havard Johnson and Geraldine Barnes.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma M. Johnson; his daughters, Cheryl Johnson White of Fayetteville, Elvira Johnson of Goldsboro and Monika Turner (Darion) of Maryland; his brother Robert Johnson; and his grandchildren, Marcellus and Dorian Turner. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Due to Covid-19, a private family graveside service will be held at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
