He was predeceased by: his child James Palmer. He is survived by: his child Ellie Shields Palmer; his spouse Doris Sykes Palmer; his sons, Billy Palmer of Florida and Steve Palmer (Niki) of Texas; and his stepsons, Charlie Tew (Judy) of Goldsboro and James Tew (Sybil) of Antioch, TN. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
