He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Long and Olive Vinsant Long; and his wife Myrtle Reeves Long. He is survived by: his children, William Gary Long (Karen) of Prosper, Texas, Dr. Ronald Morgan Long (Mary) of Goldsboro, Patricia Long Allen (Tom) of Wake Forest and Craig Maloy Long (Toni) of Lantana, Florida.; his grandchildren, Jennifer Long Cox (Jesse), Jessica Long Kimbrell (Chris), Thomas Matthew Allen II (Bryawna), Jackson Allen, Jordan Allen, Morgan Long (Amadeus) and Sarah Long; his great grandchildren, Samuel Grey Cox, Lily Grace Kimbrell and Evelyn Louise Allen; and his friends, Brookdale, Jamie Ham, Dr. Thad West and Dr. Greg Bauer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
