He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Thomas Parsons and Thelma Kitsinger; and his son-in-law Darren Hall. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Paylor Parsons; his children, Cindy Parsons Hall Fuller of Round and Robert Joel Parsons, Jr. (Brandie) of Burlington; his grandchildren, Seth Hall, Joshua Hall, Ciegy Wiggins, Seton Hall, Savannah Grace Parsons and Jerry Crawley; his great grandchildren, Hadley Wiggins and Lucy Wiggins; and his siblings, Peggy Spears, Becky Adams, Kay Wilson, Carolyn Cook and Tommy Parsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Home Missions Program at New Hope Baptist Church, 1525 Flora Ave., Burlington, NC 27215.
