He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Sumner Cook; his stepson Winford James Brown; his grandchildren, Carmen Hinton (Brian), Carla Sibrian (Jonathan), Whitney Brown and Stephanie Casey; his great grandchildren, Evan Martinez and Eric Sibrian; his sister Magaline Knowles (Floyd); and his niece Pam Westbrook. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
