It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy (Dottie) Oyler Illig (Granite Falls, North Carolina), born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 20, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Richard J. Oyler and Nellie Gray Veach Oyler. She is survived by : her husband Dean B. Illig; her daughters, Gretchen Illig McGregor (Andy) and Kathryn Illig Herman (Dixon); her brother R. Wally Oyler (Nancy); her sister-in-law Eve Illig Ardia; her grandchildren, Caroline F. McGregor and J. Boone Herman; and her uncle Michael N. Harreld (Susan). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Cooperative Christian Ministry, Safe Harbor, Hospice (Carolina Caring) or the local charity of your choice.
