She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gerlosky and Nancy Ann Peattie; and her sister Kitty Sue Gerlosky. She is survived by: her husband Paul Whitener; her children, Tammy Dellinger (Lindsey) of Lincolnton, Patricia Whitener (James Herman) of Taylorsville and Ashley Whitener (Scott Elkins) of Icard; and her grandchildren, Marlee Dellinger, Emma Whitener, Nate Whitener and Samuel Herman.
