We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2020, at the age of 74, Lynne Annette Carpenter Sparks (Granite Falls, North Carolina), born in Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Stirling Stewart Carpenter and Betty Jo Newton; her brother Stirling Stewart Carpenter, Jr.; and her aunt Mildred Carolyn Newton. She is survived by : her husband David Lemuel Sparks; her children, Steven Lemuel Sparks (Lori), Carrie Lynne Sparks, Lela Sparks Thompson (Henry Lawrence Thompson IV) and Laura Sparks Caldwell (Ronald David Caldwell, Jr.); her grandchildren, Stirling Stewart Thompson, Austin Lemuel Sparks, Sydney Lee Sparks, Lela Mather Thompson, Callie Lynne Caldwell, Colby Elizabeth Thompson, Emma Grace Sparks, Ronald David Caldwell III, Henry Lawrence Thompson V, Lela Susan Caldwell and Cole McCrae Sparks; and her siblings, Jonathan Scot Carpenter (Robyn) and Jo Carol Thomason (Scott). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
