He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Foster and Juanita Foster. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Covington Foster; his daughters, Nancy Hawkins (Jonathan) and Rebecca Gilbert of Morganton; and his siblings, Tim Foster (Carol) of Lenoir and Sandy Gantt (Jerry) of Lenoir. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
