It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip Whitman White (Grantsboro, North Carolina), who passed away on September 23, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert W. White and Frances White; his wife Frances Gayle White; his son Thomas Hardin; and his grandson Josh Hines.

He is survived by : his children, Pamela Gardner (Barry) of Raleigh, James Hardin (Tammy) of Greenville, NC, Roberta Caton (Tracy) of Grantsboro, Lisa Dilts of Durham and Frannie Westcott (Dusty) of Durham; his daughter-in-law Beth Hardin of Winston Salem, NC; and his brother Donald White (Phyllis) of Moorestown, TN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Pamlico, PO Box 6, Bayboro, NC 28515.
