Alice Wilson Pearce Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Wilson Pearce (Greensboro, North Carolina), who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pickett Wilson and English of Woman's College; her brothers, George P. Wilson and Robert L. Wilson; and her former husband Elwood Newton Pearce.
She is survived by: her husband Woody Pearce; her great grandchildren, Betty Jo (BJ), William McClanahan, George McClanahan (Blaire), Katharine Pearce (Paul Wetenhall), Sarah Wetenhall, John Wetenhall (Carolyn Witte), David Pearce (Susan Blaauw Pearce), Emily Pearce, Thomas Pearce, Carol Pearce (William Barto), Thomas Barto, Eleanor Barto and David Barto (Lucia Chambi); and also Benjamin McClanahan. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, her grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to: the Bass Trombone Chair at the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, the UNC-Greensboro School of Music- Jazz and Opera Endowment, or the Greensboro Opera Company.
