She was predeceased by : her father George W. Faulk; and her niece Gina Faulk. She is survived by : her brothers, Gary Faulk (Virginia), Mitchell Faulk (Glenda) and Ralph Faulk; her nephews, Dan Faulk (Tammy), Bradley Faulk (Patti) and Brian Faulk (Jenni); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Ashleigh Thornhill, Olivia Faulk, Will Faulk and Xander Faulk; her foster brother Tim; and also Sue McCulloch.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Gaynell be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 5721 Methodist Road, Greensboro, NC 27406.
