She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin Hudson and Bessie Bullin Hudson; her husband A. Frank Howell; her children, Robert Charles Howell and Susan Melodie Howell; her brother Charles Hudson; and her niece Debbie Mullis.

She is survived by: her children, Sonja H. White (Bishop Mike White) of Gastonia and Brian Keith Howell (Katie) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Bishop Justin White (Lauren), Ryan White (Paris), Katelyn Howell, Moriah Pender (Bishop) and Noah Howell; her great grandchildren, Ayden White, Ashton White, Macy White, Aaron White, Liam White and Easton Pender; her sisters, Dorothy Pegram and Geneva Dollinger; her siblings' children, Pam Brown (Mark), Teresa Alexander (Mark), Ronda Hunt (Dale) and Kevin Dollinger (Becky); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Parker Brown, Christopher, Brandon, Greg Mullis, Amanda Hylton, Rachel Babb, Ella Brown and Emily Alexander; and her sister-in-law Rena Woodard.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM at the Living Hope Worship Center (1907 Merritt Dr, Greensboro, NC 27407). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Living Hope Worship Center or The Beacon Place of Greensboro.
