He is survived by : his mother Lorene Yancey; his wife Pamela Joyce Copeland; his children, Joshua, Isaac Copeland (Shaniqua), Jonathan Copeland (Chauncey), Anthony Miller (Pamela), NaVosha Copeland and Raychel Miller; his sisters, Merriam Caldwell (Iveory), Ella Copeland and Ercelle Copeland; his siblings-in-law, Donna Hampton, Arthur "Buddy" Evans and Kenneth Evans (Loretta); his grandchildren, Joshua "BJ" Copeland III, Mashyla Copeland, Issac Copeland Jr., Janiya Copeland, Harper Hicks, Madison Copeland, Jonathan Copeland Jr., Jade Copeland, Montrea Smith (Kristin), Maleek Slade, Zack Mackey, Brandon Armstrong, Amiyah Miller of Anthony and Miller Jr.; his great grandchildren, Kaylani Smith and Jayden Smith; and his uncle Theodore Yancey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
