He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burgman and Ora Lee Burgman; and his siblings, Lee Burgman, Lawson Burgman, Nathaniel Burgman and Mary Alice Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Carolyne Carter; his daughters, Alicia Stewart (Bryan) of Charlotte, NC and Anessa Burgman of Greensboro, NC; his grandchildren, Amanda and Myles Stewart; his siblings, Dorothy Burris (Alton) of Fitzgerald, GA, Wayne Burgman and Ronald Burgman (Rachel) of Valdosta, GA; and his sister-in-law Gwen Burgman of Valdosta, GA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins and other relatives and friends.
