She was predeceased by : her parents, Horace Young and Margaret Young; and her sister Mary Y Alston. She is survived by : her husband Jesse T. Scott; her daughter Pamela D Locus; her niece Veronica Ratliff (Christian); her nephew Christopher Alston (Una); her great-nephew Christopher A. Alston; her great-niece Simone M. Alston; and her goddaughter Madison Crowder. She is also survived by cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 23rd 2021 at 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Allen and Associates Mortuary (508 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 23rd 2021 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 24th 2021 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
