It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Raleigh (Greensboro, North Carolina), who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph E Raleigh and Mattie J. Raleigh; her son Dennis R. Horton, Jr.; and her sisters, Lottie Pearl and Cornelia Anna Raleigh.

She is survived by : her daughter Akosua Nyako of Greensboro, NC; her grandchildren, Taylor Horton, Sanya Nyako Reed, Mattox Nyako and Skyler Nyako Bennett; her brothers, Jerry W. Raleigh (Juanita) and Joseph Howard Raleigh (Louise); her cousin Kelvin Keyon Huntley (US Navy); and her friends, Yaw Nyako and Alton Lash. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service for Marilyn Patrice Raleigh will be at a later date due to Covid-19.
