She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Kelly and Elizabeth Kornegay. She is survived by: her husband Edward (Sharpless); her daughter Dr. Liza Bonanno (Vinny) of Cincinnati, OH; her grandsons, Vincent and Mitchell; her daughter Alice McDaniel (Stan) of Apex; her grandchildren, Teddy and Lizzy; her child Kelly Sharpless (Stacey) of Easton, MD; her grandsons, Peter and Matthew; her son Dr. Ned Sharpless (Julie) of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, William and Leigh; and her niece Mimi Spears. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and friends.
