It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Springer Gardiner of Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on June 28, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Sydney S. Swindells and Jeannette S. Swindells; her daughter Jeannette G. Teague; and her siblings, Virginia Mae Swindells Sexton, Samuel Swindells and Thomas Swindells.

She is survived by: her sons, Jeffrey Paul Gardiner (Susie) and David Walter Gardiner (Sandra Ritter); her brother-in-law G. Kenneth Sexton (Linda); her grandchildren, Amanda T. Moody (Jason), Matthew Curtis Gardiner, Tristan David Gardiner, Jeffrey Scott Gardiner (Sarah) and Shirley Ann Gardiner Stevens (Luke); her great grandchildren, Jack Moody, Aubrey Moody, Ellie Stevens, Gwynnie Stevens and Sully Stevens; and her sibling's children, Paul Gardiner (Karen), John Gardiner, Gary Gardiner (Cibby), Joseph Swindells (Connie), Tommy Swindells (Caroline), Mark Sexton (Kim), Steve Sexton (Dina), Ritchie Swindells (Elaine) and Paul Swindells (Amy).
