It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christine Coburn Davenport (Greenville, North Carolina), who passed away on December 17, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hedley Coburn and Eva Stevenson Coburn; her husband James Ervin Davenport; and her sisters, Geraldine Etheridge, Betty Jane Dickerson and Eva Ann Steele.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce D. Johnson (Charles) of Chicod, Brenda D. Rivenbark (Frank) of Burgaw and James Hedley Davenport (Judy) of Snow Hill; and her grandchildren, Charles Johnson, Jr., Neil Johnson (Stacy), Joe Johnson (Amanda), Christina Rivenbark, Eva Thornton (Greg) and Ryan Davenport (Sarah). She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
The family requests COVID 19 and social distancing guidelines, including masks, to be used.
