He is survived by : his parents, Judy Crumpler Pate and Joseph Nelson Pate, Sr.; his wife Donna Sease Pate; his children, Joshua Pate (Stephanie), Brittany Ellisor (Tyler Moss) and Ashley Ellisor (Shannon Connolly); his grandchildren, Chase Pate and Hadley Moss; his pet Lucy; his siblings, Amanda Barnes (Ronnie), Chad Pate (Tracey) of Pikeville, NC, Leslie Lawhorn (Edward) and Jennifer Pate of Pikeville, NC; and his mother-in-law Alliene Sease of Newberry, SC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
