It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julie Whitehurst Briley of Greenville, North Carolina, who passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Cecil Whitehurst; her son Donnie Wayne Briley; and her sister-in-law Pam Whitehurst. She is survived by: her husband Billy Briley; her mother June Whitehurst of Tarboro; her children, Billie Lynn Thompson (Jay) of Pinetops and Bobbie Jo Abrams (Jerry) of Pinetops; her grandchildren, Bridget Nichols (Justin), Freddie Lane Webb (Alison), Caleb Thompson, Hali Lassiter (Dillon), Kasi Pavelka, Jaxon Abrams, Molly Briley, Harley Abrams, Jarin Abrams and Nate Webb; and her siblings, Allen Whitehurst and Diane Whitehurst. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the HIS Vision Ministry (1901 Anaconda Rd, Tarboro, NC 27886). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
