He is survived by: his wife Janet Baker Hales; his stepdaughters, Shannon Dudley Abbott (Ed) and Heather Dudley Yoder (Steve); his grandchildren, Lance Abbott (Kayla), Leah Abbott Furlough (Chase), David Lane Anderson, James Walker Anderson (Alyssa Miller) and Laster Sparrow; his great grandchildren, Savannah Lee Abbott, Amelia Blake Abbott and Noa Eleanor Abbott; his nephew Robert Griffin, Jr.; and his half-brother Billy Smith.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Farmer Funeral Service (109 Second St, Ayden, NC 28513). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
