It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Albert Young of Hallsboro, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on October 22, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Audrey Young and Grace Sasser; his close friend Elsie Creech Hayes; his nephew Terry Strickland; and his great-niece Ashley Grace Soles.

He is survived by : his sisters, JoAnn Young Watts of Hallsboro, NC and Jacqueline Young Strickland of Whiteville, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Janet Soles (Michael), Audrey Brown (Heath), Jean Hyatt, Jeffie Sellers and Jerry Strickland.

In addition to flowers, Memorials may be made to Hallsboro United Methodist Church, PO Box 28, Hallsboro, NC 28442.
