With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hattie C. Hewitt Sly Bivens (Hampstead, North Carolina), who passed away on May 2, 2018 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Gerald Sly; her parents, Dewey Hewitt and Serena Hewitt; and her brother Lincoln Hewitt. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Lee Bivens; her son Larry Sly of Texas; her siblings, Allie Belle Bradshaw of Richlands, Sybil O'Neil Hewitt of Maple Hill, Shirley Davis (Fairley) of Jacksonville, Floyd Hewitt (Dorine) of Richlands, George Hewitt (Dot) of Smyrna, TN, Robert Hewitt (Eva Nell) of Richlands and Herbert Hewitt (Hilda) of Palmetto, FL; her grandchildren, Telly Sly (Sonni), Corey Sly and Joseph Sly; and her great grandchildren, Molly, Bentley and Charlie.
