She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Augustus and Cordelia Rouse Sherwood; her spouse Lacy Powell Sparrow, Sr.; and her son Lacy Powell Sparrow, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Jeanne Sparrow of Hampstead; her sister Velma Cherry; her grandchildren, David Thomas (Christy) of Surf City, NC, Rebecca Montgomery (Lynnie) of Clinton, NC, Jeanne Hamby of Mechanicsville, VA and Lacy Whittaker (Matthew) of Ruther Glen, VA; and her great grandchildren, Victoria Montgomery, Brittany Montgomery, Cassidy Montgomery, Caroline Montgomery, Davis Hamby, Fisher Whittaker, Landon Thomas and Mackenzie Thomas.
