He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Denise Thomas Jones (Michael Jones) and Tammie Thomas Davis (Ronald Davis Jr); his brother Wesley Thomas (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Alison, Andrew and Averie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be given to Topsail Presbyterian Church.
