He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Vernon Casstevens, Sr. and Jessie Long Casstevens; his wife Sue Moxley Casstevens; and his brother Danny Casstevens. He is survived by: his sons, Brent Casstevens (Angie), Brandon Casstevens (Judy) and Russell Casstevens (Tracie); his grandchildren, Alexis Casstevens, Rusty Norman, Christian Casstevens, Ryan Casstevens, Aaron Casstevens and Todd Casstevens; his great grandchildren, Collin King and Knox Absher; and his sister Tammy Nester (Billy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville (5108 US-601, Yadkinville, NC 27055). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the North Oak Ridge Baptist Church (2504 N Oak Ridge Church Rd, Boonville, NC 27011). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the same location.
